What We Are
Charity Rising is an association management company, a unique type of business designed to support non-profit, not-for-profit and other organizations by maximizing resource utilization and streamlining operations in a way that meets the goals of the board of directors, fulfills the mission of the organization and grows the association, driving it forward as the membership desires. Charity Rising understands the economic needs of associations and the importance of leveraging resources – human, fiscal, intellectual and material – in order to assist the organization in reaching its goals.
Our Origins
Charity Rising was originally formed in 2012 at the request of our first client. We had worked with them for more than ten years when their business model changed necessitating the use of an association management company. They expressed their confidence in us by asking me to provide management services independently. We operated as Innovative Management Solutions, LLC from 2012 until February 2017 when a business based decision prompted our corporate headquarters relocation to Texas. Due to incorporation requirements in Texas we changed the name of the company to Charities Rising with both Innovative Management Solutions and Charity Rising as tradenames.
Why Use an AMC?
An AMC – association management company – is a for-profit organization dedicated to the support and furtherance of non-profit organizations. In general, AMCs provide support for membership service and development, financial management, revenue generation and event production provided through a team of experienced professionals. Non-profit organizations benefit from access to the services of these various experts in an on-demand capacity thereby able to tap higher levels of expertise than could normally be afforded. The sale of products and services are consistently higher across all size organizations when using an association management company, according to a study by James Gaskin, Ph.D., Brigham Young University. He further reported, “AMCs deliver 317 percent more growth in net assets and 31 percent more growth in net revenue.”
